淫人色欲社 (SKS) is excited to share that our Co-Head Prefect and 18U Hockey Team Captain Felikss Gavars, has signed his commitment to play for the NCAA D1 St. Lawrence Saints!
18U Hockey Head Coach and Director of Hockey Jamie Russell said, 鈥淔elikss is a player with elite speed and skill. He was our Captain and demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the year. I truly believe he will be a difference maker in NCAA Hockey and beyond. I am so proud to see Felikss rewarded with an opportunity to attend a fine academic institution like St. Lawrence, where he will be joining a program coming off an ECAC playoff championship and a remarkable turnaround to qualify as an NCAA tournament team.鈥

鈥淚t means the world to me! To have the chance to play the game I love for such a high-class program, while getting a very high-level education is a dream come true! I am very excited for what鈥檚 to come in the future, not just for myself, but the SLU hockey program as well!鈥 Felikss remarked when asked about the commitment. 鈥溡松 has helped me so much on this journey! Without this awesome community I wouldn鈥檛 even think about having an opportunity to play Division 1 hockey. All the support from my coaches, peers, family, faculty and staff has truly meant the world to me!鈥
Felikss came to SKS from Latvia, starting four years ago in the third form with our 15O team. He has matured and developed to become an outstanding role model to his SKS classmates and teammates. Each year he has been able to take his game on the ice to new heights.
Felikss has been very engaged in 淫人色欲社鈥檚 academics and student life, earning the respect of the faculty and his peers. During his senior year, this dedication to all aspects of his education was recognized with him being named Co-Head Prefect, a role he served admirably throughout this exceedingly challenging year.

16U Hockey Head Coach and Felikss鈥 advisor Andrey Uryadov had this to say about Felikss鈥 success, 鈥淔elikss has been a true 鈥淪outh Kent Boy鈥 in his time here on the Hillside, he put in the time and effort to earn this opportunity. Whether on the ice or in the classroom, Felikss has had to learn, grow, adjust, and overcome in his four years here. From learning to speak English and becoming a great student, to maturing physically and emotionally on the ice. Felikss has always worked hard and stayed positive, understanding that it will pay off in the end. I couldn鈥檛 be happier for Felikss and can vouch that all he has accomplished is well-deserved! A bright future lies ahead of this young man, we wish him all the best as he moves forward!鈥
